Dear esteemed colleagues

On behalf of ASIMD (Asian Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 5th Asian Congress of Inherited Metabolic Diseases (ACIMD) in Wuhan, China.
There has been remarkable progress in the diagnosis and treatment for inherited metabolic diseases. We can make a more accurate diagnosis and have more treatable diseases. Based on this progress, QOL and prognosis of patients with inborn errors of metabolism is improving. Genetic background, culture and ethics in Asian countries are different from those in Western countries and these factors are important to take care of patients with inherited metabolic diseases. From this point of views, it is significant that Asian scientists get together and discuss about the problems and recent topics in Asian regions. Furthermore, the congress will provide a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends.
I look forward to seeing you at the 5th ACIMD in Wuhan, China.

Sincerely yours,

President
Asian Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases
